STUDENT WORKSHOP
PROGRAM

It is with a heavy heart that we are CANCELLING our 2021 Student Workshop due to COVID-19 and our priority of keeping our participants and their communities safe. We apologize to all who were excited to attend and look forward to welcoming you back to a Student Workshop in the future.

WELP aims to develop and train tomorrow’s environmental and community leaders by engaging youth in numerous outdoor activities.

WELP offers a workshop series that covers a wide range of topics in the environmental fields of Biology and Natural Resources. WELP offers several different courses during the workshop, including Environmental Engineering & Hydrology, Aquatic Macroinvertebrates & Biological Indicators, Soils in our Environmental, Geology, Bird Migration & Conservation, Herpetofauna of Alabama, and Bat Conservation. These courses are presented through a 5-day camp workshop with on-site lodging at the cabin. This workshop is offered to students from 8th to 11th grade.

All activities at the Student Workshop are led by experienced and qualified instructors in the field and on the water.
